Local schools to battle for Credit Union School Quiz honours!

Local schools have been invited to participate in the first stage of the nationwide 2016 Credit Union Schools’ Quiz competition, being run by Lurgan Credit Union in St Ronan’s College, Francis Street, Lurgan on Monday 1st February 2016 at 6.00pm.

Over 25,000 school children under the age of 13 will compete in over 300 venues throughout the 32 counties.  The questions, complied by primary school teachers, will cover such general topics as geography, history, music, literature and sport.

This is the 25th successive year that the Schools Quiz has been organised by the Irish League of Credit Unions.  It consists of 2 knock out stages which culminate in a National Final in Dublin in Early April 2016 when 100 qualifying teams will compete.
